The Triumphal Way is the path that links La Defense with the city of Paris. It starts at the Grande Arche de la Defense and runs across Champs-Elysée, well beyond the Arc de Triomphe and ends at the Louvre museum, close to the center of the capital.
Many plans to further its development were brought forward around 1930 by renowned architects like Auguste Perret or Le Corbusier, featuring mostly sky-scrapers designed in a modern tone of architecture, but weren’t finalized mainly due to the Great Depression manifesting in the 30’ in France.
